The annual Peats Ridge Sustainable Arts & Music Festival kicks
off on the 29 December 2007 to 1 January 2008 in a celebration of Music,
Arts and Sustainable Living!
This year we have prepared a massive array of entertainment, music and laughter for you including:
- 15 stages of music featuring over 400 acts.
- Bigger disco mayhem (in case you didn't get enough last year) with Vic's Disco Tent.
- A huge array of Installation Art and Roving Performance
- An expanded Ecoliving Village featuring the Ecoliving Stage, Ecoliving Expo, Take Action Stage and Make the Change
- Organic food available in the campsite and in the Festival site at the Eden tent.
- An even more beautiful and inclusive Kids on the Hill Children's Festival.
- An expanded Healing Haven with lots of amazing practitioners
- Lots more Workshops including the inimitable Flirting with Derek (if we can get him to come back for a third session)
- Dressing Up opportunities for New Years Eve through our costume hire
- Our New Years Drumming Spectacular - Spirit Valley Dreaming
- A return of the New Years Eve Masquerade with The Maskeraiders
- And of course the beautiful swimming, chilling, camping and hanging out with the amazing wildlife at the stunning Glenworth Valley.
The Festival runs over 4 days and features established camping facilities
set in the stunning natural surroundings of Glenworth Valley. Located
just 1 Hour north of Sydney this is a great fun Festival for music lovers
of all ages!
The vision behind the Festival is to run a multi-day Arts and Music Festival
in a beautiful natural surrounding that is run sustainably and allows
people to step out of their everyday life into a world of music, performance,
laughter and joy.
The major aim of the Festival is to enable people to access information
on living sustainably whilst in a relaxed environment.
The long term goal is to provide funding for education programs on sustainable
food production and water management to people living in underprivileged
countries.
The Festival is a not for profit event and all money made by the event
will go towards furthering these aims.
