Welcome to Glenworth Valley

Welcome to Glenworth Valley, Australia's largest and most successful horse riding centre!

During the 30 years that we have been in business, Glenworth Valley has become famous for the quality of its horses, its professional standards, the breathtaking natural environment that we ride in and most importantly, providing a fun and enjoyable experience.

Glenworth Valley is situated in a deep valley in the hinterland region behind the Central Coast, a leisurely one hour drive north of the Sydney CBD or 45 minutes south of Newcastle CBD. We have 3500 acres of unspoilt wilderness that we ride through with 50 kms of private trails to explore. In most cases we follow the creek as it meanders its way through the valley either up the valley towards the natural rock pools or down the valley to coolness of the ancient rainforest trails.

The valley is nestled amongst thousands of acres of National Park and along the way you will ride through a wide diversity of environments including lush green valleys, open pasture lands, impressive rock formations and through tall stands of shady eucalypt trees. Popran Creek, the purest tributary to the Hawkesbury river, runs the length of the valley and riders can refresh themselves with a swim in the natural rock pools. The valley is also home to many species of native flora and fauna including wallabies, several species of reptiles, bellbirds, Kookaburras and Lyrebirds.

We have 200 happy, healthy horses to cater for all ages and levels of ability from nervous beginners through to experienced riders. Horses are individually selected for each rider's ability and needs.

Safe enjoyable riding is our number 1 priority and accordingly all of our friendly staff are highly trained in safety matters. Glenworth Valley is a founding member of the Australian Horse Riding Centres Association that regulates safety standards for the horse riding industry.

Apart from guided riding and free range riding we also offer lead ponies, private and group lessons, children's riding camps, social and gourmet food rides, cattle muster rides, camping facilities, tent hire, 5 types of horse agistment, horses for sale, merchandise and riding equipment for sale.

Your visit to Glenworth Valley can be combined with any number of other adventure sports including kayaking, 4WD quad bike tours, abseiling, laser skirmish and orienteering/bushwalking. You can even hire Glenworth Valley as a venue for a host of occasions such as conferences, weddings, music festivals, camping grounds for large groups such as scout jamberoos or as a photo and film shoot location.
