Duke of Edinburgh Expeditions
The Duke of Edinburgh's Award is a worldwide self-development program for young people aged 14-25 years. Through a series of personal challenges, participants will gain valuable life skills.
The Duke of Edinburgh Award consists of three levels, bronze, silver and gold. Each of these levels has four sections, physical recreation, skill, service and adventurous journey.
Glenworth Valley's Duke of Edinburgh expeditions are developed to ensure that the program delivers the desired outcomes for all participants. Our expeditions provide participants with the opportunity to learn a new skill and to grow and meet their full potential through outdoor education.
Glenworth Valley offers the following activities for the adventurous journey component of the Duke of Edinburgh Award. You can combine any of these activities to suit your requirements (please note that some combinations are not possible and you are welcome to contact the Glenworth Valley Office to discuss). TESTIMONIALS
Our photos look amazing. Thank you so much. I'll definitely pass them on to everyone in the group.
We're all really glad our last DOE camp (GOLD) was with Glenworth, everyone has been so amazing to us. We're already planning a five year reunion camp!
Thanks so much for organising all of it for us.
Lillian - St George Girls High School
Thank you to every one at Glenworth Valley, I greatly enjoyed my Silver Duke of Edinburgh camp with you. My guide, Dean was helpful and funny and made sure that we had a great time both horse riding and hiking. The grounds where beautiful and the whole trip was enjoyable. I would come back to finish my Duke of Ed camps with Glenworth Valley in a heartbeat, particularly as you offer various options including horse riding, bushwalking and kayaking. Thank you so much.
