Duke of Edinburgh Awards

To assist participants in completing the Expedition component of the award, we have put together packages to meet the award requirements.

To satisfy our safety requirements, an instructional trail ride will be included on the first day. Thereafter, a guide will accompany the group, but only in an advisory capacity. Per DOE requirements, all decisions regarding the direction of the ride will be made by the participants.

Campgrounds are equipped with woodfire bbqs. Showers & toilets are also available for use. If participants are under 18yrs, an adult is normally required to camp with the group to provide supervision.

All camping gear
All Food
Toiletries etc

Bronze	2 days, min 4 hours per day trail riding including instructional trail ride Minimum participants - 4	$210 per person
Silver	3 days, min 5 hours per day trail riding including instructional trail ride Minimum participants - 4	$320 per person
Gold	4 days, 6 hours per day trail riding including instructional trail ride Minimum participants - 4	$430 per person

Glenworth Valley does not organise groups for DOE expeditions. Our DOE expeditions require a minimum of 4 participants to proceed. If you are a sole participant in the DOE award scheme, and are interested in doing horseriding as part of your award, please contact the DOE State Office.
