Duke of Edinburgh Programs

The Duke of Edinburgh's Award is an exciting worldwide self-development program, for young people aged 14-25 years.

Through a series of personal challenges, you will gain valuable life skills and discover you really can make a difference.

Glenworth Valley's Duke of Edinburgh expeditions are well thought-out and deliberated, to ensure a program delivers the desired outcomes for all participants.

The Duke of Edinburgh Award consists of three levels - Bronze, Silver and Gold. Each of these levels has four sections - Physical Recreation, Skill, Service and Adventurous Journey.

Our Expeditions provide participants the opportunity to learn a skill, grow and meet their full potential through outdoor education.

Glenworth Valley offers activities for the adventurous journey component of the Duke of Edinburgh Award. It is also possible to select a combination of these activities to achieve the desired outcome you are seeking. For example we can combine bushwalking and kayaking (Hike & Paddle) or bushwalking and mountain biking (Hike & Bike) or choose our ever popular horse riding journey.
