Agistment FacilitiesGlenworth Valley offers excellent facilities and
services for horses and riders alike. - Experienced Agistment Managers
live on site and provide supervision of the horses and the property. Our managers
are also there to assist you with any horse management issues where required.
- Agisted horses are kept on improved pastures.
All pastures are weed free and regularly slashed, fertilised and irrigated where
required. Winter active grasses are sown to ensure your horse has feed all year
round saving you expensive feed bills. See pasture
management practices for more details.
Every
paddock has horse safe fencing that is either post and rail or post and plain
wire fencing only. Glenworth Valley employs specialised property personnel which
ensures that all fencing is constantly maintained and improved - Glenworth
Valley adjoins Popran National Park with endless kilometres of trails.
- All horses receive an initial worm paste at a cost of $30 per worm paste to
bring them in to line with our professionally formulated worm control program.
For your peace of mind all horses are wormed every 8 weeks and regardless of which
property you choose to agist at, all horses are wormed on the same day. This allows
you one less thing to worry about and ensures us that every horse on each property
is worm free and the paddocks can be maintained to the highest standards.
- Horses new to the property are quarantined within the agistment area for 14
days to prevent the transmission of infection and allow your horse a "settling
in" period.
- A full range of supplementary feeding and rugging/unrugging
programs. Only the best quality feeds are used and these are fed according to
the manufacturers recommendations. Products used provide a complete and economical
"cool" energy feed. If you would like your horse fed they usually have
to be in either a separate paddock or one of the special "feed program"
paddocks (see agistment options) where we
have specially designed individual yards to ensure your horse enjoys all of his/her
feed without any stress or competition. At GV we understand that all horses have
individual needs and requirements and we welcome you to discuss these with us.
